I tried
Adouda Adjiri
I tried to make a ditty,
And days went by
I couldn’t attain the duty
For there was nothing worth feting
Perhaps unlucky
But I won't cry
A painting may be easier to try,
And months went by
My brushes were still all dry
For there was nothing inspiring
Perhaps unhappy
But no, no I won't cry
A love song - once more - is more joy,
And years went by
Love’s scarce everywhere I passed by
For there was nothing love-teaching
Surely I found our tragedy
But overwhelmed with sorrow, I couldn't cry
