Ian Pratt
Homeless Traveler
Welcome back dear friend,
you have been gone awhile.
You have aged nicely,
you have the same smile.
How have the years treated you?
You look just like I remember.
Come on, come in make yourself at home.
Tell me about your travels around the world.
You've been to France, you've sailed the sea,
now what dear friend brings you back to me?
First i left North Carolina.
I went North to Quebec.
From there I Crossed the Atlantic,
and I was far from here.
I did not speak the language,
and still something was not right.
So i hopped on a train bound for Russia.
And left Germany behind.
Oh my friend how have you been?
Your return is the talk of the town.
Please sit down, would you like something to drink?
I would love to hear all about your travels.
In Russia I felt so secluded.
No one gave me a chance.
So i packed my bags and went to Asia,
I stayed there for five years.
I met a girl named Erin,
she was born in the states.
She asked me what I was doing in Asia,
I told her i had lost something.
My friend I have missed you so,
and I am not trying to be rude.
It is five oclock, and I must go,
but tell me what brought you back?
As you know
I have been gone, for along time,
searching for something I lost.
I went to Italy, i toured through Rome,
but now i have found it,
I have found my home.
